About this page
This page explains how to request deletion of the data associated with Creepy Crawlies, the mobile game developed by Aart Hakkens and published on Google Play under ShipCore. It applies to players of any age, and to parents or guardians requesting deletion on behalf of a child.
Creepy Crawlies has no user accounts and no login. There is nothing to sign in to and no account to close. We identify your saved data by the display name you chose the first time you played, so please include it in your request.
How to request deletion
- Find your display name. Open Creepy Crawlies and look at the name shown in the game. This is the nickname that was chosen the first time the game was played. If you are requesting on behalf of a child, use the name your child chose.
- Send us an email to support@creepycrawlies.app with the subject line “Data deletion request”.
- Include your display name in the message. Without it we cannot locate the right data, because we do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or any other identifying information that would let us find you.
- Tell us what you want removed — either all data, or a specific part of it. If you do not say, we will delete everything we hold for that display name.
What we delete
On receiving your request we permanently delete the record stored for your display name in our Firebase Realtime Database. That record contains:

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your progress in the game itself is not affected, because it is also stored locally on your device.
What is kept, and for how long
- Data on your device. Your local save file stays on your phone or tablet and is not something we can reach. To remove it, uninstall the game — this deletes the local save permanently.
- Analytics and advertising data held by Google. Firebase Analytics and AdMob process technical data such as IP address and advertising identifiers under their own retention schedules, which we do not control. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.
- Backups and legal records. A deleted record may persist in routine system backups for up to 30 days before those backups are cycled out. We may also retain information for longer where the law requires it.
How long it takes
We confirm every request by email and complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving it. In practice it is usually much faster. If we cannot find any data for the display name you gave us, we will tell you that instead.
Other privacy rights
Deletion is one of several rights you have. You can also ask to see what data we hold, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent for personalised advertising. These are described in full in our Privacy Policy, along with the rights that apply specifically to parents and guardians.
